Kemp Freund has a unique background, after serving in the Army he became a Howard County, Maryland police officer in 1972 while also continuing his military career in the Maryland Army National Guard.  Kemp retired from his police career in 1994 and his Army Career in 2011.  Kemp served in many positions in both organizations, but his primary talents were in youth outreach programs, operational planning, training and logistics.

 

Kemp has been active with The Honor Roll since the 2016 ride and he is primarily responsible for all support functions and some of the fundraising.  Kemp is fully retired and lives in Ellicott City, Maryland.  He is married with three grown daughters and six grandchildren.
